Patriarchal Marriage

Marriage, as taught and practiced in churches and the world at large is not the same marriage taught in the Scripture. This so-called Monogamous Romantic (Roman Love) marriage legislated by the government is based on Romantic sentiment or Roman love and is motivated by sexual desires and exploitations.  Once the Romance is over, the honeymoon is gone, marriage is broken and such marriage can be anulled and divorce and remarriage which is in essence adultery (according to Matthew 19:3) and a form of serial polygamy which has became a norm in married life, both in the churches and the world.

Patriarchal Marriage, on the other hand, is about headship and covering; about family and home; about raising  the seed (zera) of righteousness on earth. Patriarchal Marriage is YaHVaH'S ordained marriage for the redemption of the fallen race.  Patriarchal marriage is based on the Torah.

When YaHVaH made man, He said, "it is not good that man should remain alone, I will make for him a "help meet" to be his counterpart..  So YaVHaH Elohim caused a deep sleep to fall on the man and he slept., , and He took a bone out of his side and closed up flesh instead thereof.  And YaHVaH ELOHIM  builded the bone which he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her unto the man. And the man said, This one now is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh!  This one shall be called Woman, for out of a man hath this one been taken.  For this cause will a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and THEY SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH."  Bereshith 2:18, 21-24.

Man, we read, was made and given dominion over the beasts of the field, the fowls of the air, and the fish of the waters.  That is a huge assignment and YaHVaH knew that it is not good for man to be alone.  So He made a woman out of him to be his helper.  YaHVaH our Creator, Who made the earth, made man out of the earth to have dominion over the earth.  In the same light, He made a Woman out of the man to be his helper--He did not send a messenger to be His wife, or someone from outer space to be his mate but a woman taken out of his body.  A woman to help him raise a family and establish a home to raise up ZERA (seed) of righteousness.  Thus, the family which is the nucleus of YaHVaH's Kingdom is established, a man leaving his father and mother to cleave to his wife to establish his own family...

And YaHVaH said, "So shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unot His wife and the twain shall be One Flesh.  In short Marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman and Patriarchal Marriage is a life long relationship between a man and his woman based on "love thy neighbor as thyself" to raise up zera or seed of righteousness unto YaHVaH.

In a PATRIARCHAL marriage or family, a man is the head of his house, that means he is head of his wife and children. He receives his authority to be headship and covering for his wife and children from his own Headship and Covering, YaHVaHShooa ha Mashiach, or he has no authority at all.  And it is his first responsibility to lift his family up to YaHVaH daily in and day out, apart from sheltering and providing for their needs.

His home is the nucleus of the Kingdom of YaHVaH and a little heaven on earth where His praises is heard and His barachot flows.  His children are taught the Torah from young and his son became a man at age 20.  All male 20 above must appear before YaHVaH thrice a year.  All his children are raised as sons of RIGHTEOUSNESS by learning and doing the Torah of YaHVaH and they are taught obedience..

His wife is his thoroughbred helpmeet who is supportive of his role and she is described in Mishle 30:10-31.  In this marraige no wife argues with here husband, no wife lead the house astray, no women fight her husband; and no woman teach her man, SHE IS OBEDIENT TO HIM AND SUBMIT HERSELF TO HIM AND HE LOVES HER AS MASHIACH LOVES HIS BRIDE.  She is an ardent educator of her children and she is a great teacher of the Torah.

There is no separation and no DIVORCE in PATRIARCHAL marriage as it is not only forbidden but it will not happen as the marriage is built upon love of and for YaHVaH and for their neighbors.   No need of human rights law nor police to call.  With the Torah written in our hearts we will obey YaHVaH to Love Him with All our hearts and All our Soul and All our might and our "neighbors as thyself."
