THE UNCLEANNESS OF MAN
THIS MIGHT SHOCK YOU OR YOU MIGHT CONTINUE IN YOUR UNBELIEF. JUST THINK OF THE AMOUNT OF GARBAGE WE THROW AWAY EACH DAY! WE HAVE BOTH SOLID AND LIQUID WASTE. When we touch filth or any bodily waste we feel uncomfortable we would either wash with water, chemicals, rags or towel. just the same, there is uncleanness when we touch unclean things. Uncleanness comes in many ways. They are mentioned in Leviticus beginning with chapter 11.
The Christian world could tell you there is no such thing as uncleaness, or their Jesus had died to make them clean. But the Torah of YaHVaH of which YaHVaHShooa is the Author said that uncleanness must be cleansed there and then or the soul unclean must be cut from His people. Uncleanness is not a sin or as Shaul puts it, "there is a sin not unto death..." Uncleanness could be cleanse by washing of water before the sun sets each day.
The cardinal means a person could become unclean is by eating unclean animals.
And YaHVaH spake unto Moshe and unto Aharon, saying unto them. Speak ye unto the sons of Ysrael saying, These are the living things which ye may eat, of all the beasts which are upon the earth. Whatsoever parteth the hoof and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud among beast, that ye may eat. Nevertheless, these shall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud and of them that part the hoof, the camel because though he cheweth the cud, yet the hoof he parteth not, unlcean he is to you.... the coney... the swine... Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch, UNCLEAN they are to you. These may ye eat, of all that are in the waters, all that have fins and scales in the waters, in the seas and in the rivers, that may ye eat. But all that have not fins and scales, in the seas and in the rivers, of all that swarm in the wasters, and of all the living souls that are in the waters, an abomination they are unto you; And an abomination shall they remain unto you, of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcase shall ye abhor. Whatsoever hath not fins and scales in the waters, an abomination it is unto you... And for these shall ye count yourselves UNCLEAN, whosoever toucheth the carcase of them SHALL BE UNCLEAN UNTIL THE EVENING; And whosoever beareth away aught of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes and BE UNCLEAN UNTIL THE EVENING. Do not make your persons abominable, with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should become unclean thereby. For I, YaHVaH, AM your Elohim, therefore shall ye hallow yourselves and remain Kadosh; for Kadosh Am I, therefore shall ye not make your persons unclean, with any creeping thing that craweth upon the earth; For I, YaHVaH, Am He that brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim, that I might become your Elohim, therefore shall ye be Kadosh, for Kadosh Am I. This is the law of beast and of bird, and of every living soull that moveth in the waters, and as to every soul that creepeth upon the earth: That ye may make a difference between the UNCLEAN AND THE CLEAN, and between the living thing that may be eaten, and the living thing which may not be eaten. Leviticus 11:1-13, 24, 43-47.
Do not make yourselves unclean in any of these things, for in all these things have the nations made themselves unclean, whom I am sending out before you. Therefore hath the land become unclean, and I have visited the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land hath vomited her inhabitants. Ye therefore shall observe My statutes and My regulations, and have nothing to do with any of these abominations, whether the home-born, or the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst. Leviticus 18:24-26
Other means of uncleanness such as polluting the earth is by shedding of blood.
So shall ye not pollute the land wherein ye are, for blood doth pollute the land, and for the land no propitiatory coveirng can be made, as touching blood that is shed therein, save with the blood of him that shed it. Thou must not then make unclean the land wherein ye are dwelling, in the midst of which I have My habitation: for I YaHVaH, Am making My habitation in th emidst fo the sons of Israel. Numbers 35:33-34.
YaHVaH will deal with man in two fronts: Sin and uncleanness.
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgression dealt I with them, and so I hid My face from them. Ezekiel 39:24.
In the light of the foregoing scriptures, cleanliness is a significant issue those who seek YaHVaH's salvation must contend with. YaHVahshooa came to set us an example to fulfill righteousness by being immersed of John the Immerser. This immersion of the water or born of water, is the immersion of John which is the immersion of REPENTANCE. It is a little ritual that all who seek to be born of the Ruach must forego before YaHVaHshooa would come to immerse him of the Ruach. The Ruach of YaHVaH will not live in unclean body or body defiled. Today many are claiming they have the Ruach, but how they receive the Ruach without proper
immersion of water is shocking, many are immerse in a false name.
Besides eating unclean animals there are many many other ways one may defile himself or become unclean:
Touching anything or any person who is unclean
Touching a women having her period
Touching a leper
Touching a dead body or man or animal
Stepping on the grave
Having a bodily fluid discharge such as ejeculation.
A woman in her period is unclean
There is recourse to UNCLEANNESS.
The same day one becomes defiled or unclean he must change his clothing and wash himself with water and be unclean untill the sun goes down. Failure to do so renders him cut off from the people of YaHVaH.
It is this uncleanness that we wash away when one is baptized before the Ruach could fall upon him. The Ruach cannot fall on unclean body. See I Cor. 3:16,17.
"Away, away! come forth from thence! Nought unclean may ye touch, come forth out of her midst, purify yourselves, ye that bear the vessels of YaHVaH." Isaiah 52:11.
Many will purify themselves and be made white and be refined, but the lawless will act lawlessly, and none of the lawless will UNDERSTAND; but they who make wise shall understand. Danyel 12:10
... He that is uncelan let him be unclean still... Gilyahna 22:11
And in nowise shall there enter in any that is unclean, or he that doeth abomination and falsehood, but only they who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Gilyahna 21:27.
